"The photo below shows the ground breaking for the Concordia Baptist Church.  My gran'paw, Arthur Peavy holds the shovel.  The church is still located a mile south of my grandparents old home and where the Pioneer Welcome Station stood. A dip in the road between the church and the Station was where racoons crossed the road near a stream and sawmill.  This is how the community came to be called Coonbottom. Concord is most famous for the annual Coonbottom Pilau.  The last Pilau was held in November 2007."  Pace
